MonacoPro

MonacoPro takes Optos’ ultra-wide field imaging with integrated OCT to the next generation. It retains the standard Monaco’s strong UWF SLO and spectral-domain OCT capabilities, and adds enhanced OCT image quality, the new AreaAssist tool and an expanded Optos Reference Database. With no need for dilation, it captures a single-shot 200° optomap image in less than half a second, then examines the retinal layers in high clarity with 40° line scans. It collects color, autofluorescence and OCT images for both eyes in roughly two minutes, delivering a fast, patient-friendly multimodal examination. AreaAssist automatically measures continuous areas of matching color with a single click at adjustable sensitivity, while the expanded reference database organizes data by optic disc size and age to increase diagnostic precision. It produces clear results even through small pupils (2 mm) and media opacities, and offers valuable space savings for clinics with limited room. Combined with the single-capture 200° optomap, it increases macular pathology detection by 29.4% compared with fundus imaging alone. Main applications: general retinal screening and follow-up, glaucoma OCT analysis, diabetic retinopathy, macula and choroid assessment; single-device UWF + OCT examination for space-constrained clinics.
